Better thinking.
Better conversations.
Better leadership.

I’m Shawn Ng, a leadership development practitioner, educator, facilitator and coach based in Singapore.

A little about me

01 — A point of view

Leadership begins with the quality of our thinking.

Not with another framework to memorise, but with how we notice, question, decide and act—especially when the answer is not obvious.

02 — The work

Helping people develop the thinking behind the doing.

01

Leadership development

Learning experiences that move beyond knowing the language of leadership to changing how people lead.

02

Coaching

Conversations that create the conditions for people to think for themselves—not simply receive someone else’s answer.

03

Facilitation

Thoughtful spaces for groups to examine assumptions, navigate complexity and have the conversations that matter.

04

Learning design

Programmes grounded in the science and craft of how adults learn, reflect and turn insight into practice.

03 — About Shawn

A practitioner who thinks, experiments, teaches, coaches and reflects.

Much of my career has revolved around one question: how do we help people think better, lead better and develop others better?

I spent much of my professional life as a military officer and educator—developing leaders, designing learning experiences and helping people make sense of complex problems.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of leadership development, coaching, facilitation, conceptual thinking, learning design and organisational development.

04 — Areas of curiosity

Questions worth staying with.

Thinking

How do we challenge assumptions and generate genuinely different perspectives?

Learning

What helps insight survive first contact with the realities of practice?

Technology

How might AI augment human judgement without outsourcing the thinking we want to strengthen?

05 — An approach

Less interested in telling people what to think.

More interested in helping them become better at thinking for themselves.

Good development is not a performance of certainty. It creates room for curiosity, honest reflection, a useful challenge—and, occasionally, the admission that the neat model on slide 37 did not survive reality.

06 — Start a conversation

Have a question worth thinking about?

If you would like to discuss leadership development, coaching, facilitation, learning design—or an interesting problem that refuses to fit neatly into one category—I’d be glad to hear from you.
